Portraits of Other Artists and Family

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails."

1 Corinthians 13: 1-8

Iris Kovalio, Israeli Artist

Iris Kovalio, Israeli Artist
Oil Painting on Paper
Iris Kovalio's watercolor landscapes of Israel are stark and atmospheric,
often only using a few masterful strokes of paint to capture the essence of a place.

Joyce Mansfield

Joyce Mansfield
Oil Sketch
Joyce is a highly gifted artist whose work centers on her faith in Christ. Brightly
colored, abstracted paintings and collage capture images from scripture
and her church life in urban Philadelphia.

Barbara Montgomery

Barbara Montgomery
Oil Painting

I had a number of outdoor painting excursions with Barbara when I lived in the
east, and we have kept in touch and remained friends. She is an excellent, fluid painter of the eastern woodlands, and has a vibrant faith in Christ. Since 1990, Barbara has been in over 50 exhibitions (including 12 solo exhibitions) as well
as teaching at the university level.

Akira

Akira
Oil Painting
Born in Japan, Akira painted with me a few times outdoors in the
Pennsylvania countryside. His intense focus and interest in seeing
"psychic color" in the landscape made a lasting impression on me.

Stephen Bendit

Stephen Bendit
Digital Ink Drawing
Stephen has painted and photographed landscapes on literally every
continent, including Antarctica. His passion for the preservation of wilderness
is matched by an eagle eye for color and highly abstract form in nature.
As a visionary landscape photographer, his work is illuminated by his faith.

Andrew Beckham
Color Photograph
Andrew is a photographer and artist of exceptional vision. His work ranges from highly accomplished fine art black and white photography to innovative printmaking
to brilliant landscape painting. In recent years, he received a Fulbright
scholarship to paint and photograph in Israel. With the ambitious theme of a
passage from the book of Job in the Bible, where God speaks from the whirlwind

in response to Job's questioning, and relating it to the many-layered landscapes
of Israel and the Middle East, Andrew took on this complex task and created a
body of work that is as multi-dimensional as the history-laden natural landscape there. However, his "home" is the wilderness of North America, where he paints and photographs with powerful insight.

Robert Spencer

Robert Spencer
Oil Painting
While Robert is a talented illustrator, his creative gift is in writing,
where he weaves his faith into stark and sometimes apocolyptic short stories and poetry.
